- Documentary proof that the deceased was a Kenyan Citizen: Kenyan passport or Kenyan ID Card.
- Copy of the deceased’s death certificate or certificate of facts of death issued by relevant UK authorities.
- Signed and stamped letter from funeral directors/undertakers confirming that the remains have been embalmed in accordance with ICAO and other international guidelines for international air flights/shipping.

Requests accompanied by all necessary documents should be sent either via post to:

Or through the following email: info@kenyahighcom.org.uk
For requests received via post, please include a self-addressed return envelope with adequate postage stamps to post your No-Objection Letter back to your address once the same has been issued.
For requests made via email, the office may process and issue the No Objection Letter via the Next of Kin's email provided, unless otherwise clearly stated. However, the office will require documentary proof from the Next of Kin to show the nature of the relationship with the deceased.
- Identification details of the deceased (name, full date of birth, and place of birth/nationality) should not conflict in both the certificate of death and official documents. Discrepancies may cause unnecessary delays in obtaining the necessary approvals to repatriate the remains of the deceased back to Kenya for burial.
- Upon receipt of duly completed applications/requests, the High Commission shall process and issue a No Objection Letter to the Next of Kin of the deceased, for confidentiality.
