The Generali Berlin Half Marathon brings together elite runners, wheelchair athletes, handbikers, inline skaters, and spectators from all walks of life. It is an ideal platform for international connections and sports diplomacy.
The 2026 edition brought together over 40,000 participants from 134 countries, cheered on by throngs of enthusiastic spectators along the 21km race course. The numbers underscore the vital role that sport plays in connecting and uniting people.

Our Kenyan sports ambassadors once again showcased their prowess, with Andrea Kiptoo winning the men’s race, followed closely by his compatriot Dennis Kipkemoi. In the women’s race, Daisilah Jerono and Veronica Loleo finished second and third, respectively, behind the race winner Amebaw Lakina from Ethiopia. Robert Koech, Weldon Langat, and Christine Komen were among the top Kenyan finishers, underlining the country’s depth of talent in long-distance running.
The Kenya Embassy in Berlin celebrates our sports ambassadors and congratulates all participants and the organisers for delivering another memorable Berlin Half Marathon.
